Heating Up

Joseph Coupal - Monday, June 25, 2012
A 31 year old woman faces charges of reckless child endangerment and disorderly conduct for leaving her infant inside the car at a mall this past weekend.  The outside temperatures were in the low 80s and mall security forced open the doors of the car.  Full story here. With temperatures high this summer, individuals should be aware of their children and pets when leaving them in the car.  Temperatures inside a car can reach over 100 degrees and can lead to death.   Children and pets do not know how and are not capable of getting out of the car, so they are left as helpless victims.  Be sure when the weather is hot to not leave your children or pets in your car,  or leave the windows down so air can circulate.
