Steve grew up in Medford, Massachusetts, where he attended Medford public schools. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in History. After graduating with a juris doctor degree from New England Law Boston, Steve immediately began representing clients in both trial and appellate courts. Over his more than twenty-seven years of practice, Steve has successfully handled thousands of court cases, ranging from district court all the way up to the Supreme Judicial Court. Steve is admitted to practice in all Massachusetts state and federal courts, as well as the United States Supreme Court.
In the 1990s, Steve also began representing buyers, sellers, and lenders in real estate transactions. Since that time, his real estate practice has grown substantially, representing many national and local mortgage lenders. Steve successfully handles hundreds of real estate deals a year, ranging from single-family residential purchases to commercial acquisitions, and residential and commercial refinances. Steve also regularly performs condominium condo converstions, and has considerable knowledge of title issues affecting real estate deals. Steve is adept at identifying resolving title problems in advance of the closings so that the closings take place on schedule. Steve and his real estate team regularly conduct real estate closings in Greater Boston and throughout Massachusetts and are able to close anywhere, and at any time that is convenient for the parties.
Steve has served for many years as a title agent. He writes title insurance policies for First American Title Insurance Company, Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, and Stewart Title Insurance Company, three of the very best title insurers in the business.
