Massachusetts criminal law attorney Steve Brooks talks about what you should do if you received a motor vehicle citation in the mail. Watch the video now to learn more.

Mailed Citations Are Often Incorrect

You may not know that in the state of Massachusetts you can receive a citation in the mail. This is to allow you, the motorist, the chance to correct something done wrong. However, this opens up possible issues of police abusing this program or just being wrong.

You may need a lawyer to get involved in resolving this issue that a citation cannot be fixed. Under this “no fix” statute, those who commit crimes are justly punished but it can also harm an innocent person. This law has some exceptions that can be used to get rid of your citation and any charges against you.
